“Tales of Colour” comedy show launches June 15
Kurt Sterling & Nqabutho “Naza” Ncube seem to be from opposite ends of the world, but they have more in common than meets the eye.
Sterling is a working class Australian who grew up knowing nothing more than his small town surroundings on the Central Coast – until the age of 20 when he headed overseas and found himself starting a family in Morocco.
Ncube is an African man, from rural Zimbabwe who arrived at Australia at age 14 and a name no one could pronounce who built a life for himself in Sydney through hard work and determination.
“We created Tales of Colour to take the audience on a journey through two opposite perspectives on the universal experience of standing out” Sterling explained. “Everyone has experienced being the odd one out. This show celebrates and embraces what makes each of us unique through comedy”
Ncube & Sterling met as up and coming comedians on the Sydney comedy circuit and immediately connected over their shared, yet very different, experiences and Tales of Colour was born.
Tales of Colour will play at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville at 8PM on June 15th.
