KBIPS is committed to educate, empower and enable students to become contributing citizens who can succeed in an ever changing world. Kingdom-Based School aims to provide an environment where race, culture, religion and economic standing are not an impedi­ment to the access of, or progress, in any aspect of school life. Kingdom School is a designated school for boys and girls where the medium of instruction is English. Learners admitted to the school need to be sufficiently proficient in English so as not to prejudice their ability to progress academically.

All applicants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) must consult the School’s Prospectus with special note of the following:

  • As an International School, we admit children from the international community here in Nigeria, as well as children from their host country.
  • There will be entrance exam written by applicants.
  • Proof of scholastic achievement and current grade must be provided for academic planning reasons, i.e. a copy of the most recent report.
  • The age of the pupil must be within two years of the average age for the grade.
  • Learners must be prepared to receive physical education, unless specifically exempted.
  • The learner is obliged to comply with the School Rules, the Code of Conduct and other Policies listed above and contained in the Prospectus.
  • Proof of permanent residential address in the form of a copy of both sides of the most recent Municipal or electricity account must be submitted. No other accounts will be accepted.
  • The most recent statement of account of the previous school is required for financial planning purposes.
  • A record of the learner’s Code of Conduct from the previous school may be requested prior to acceptance.
  • A person who wishes to attend Kingdom for the first time at the beginning of any given school year must apply at the school on the date published on the admission letter or obtained from the school’s Admission Secretary.
  • Late applications will be considered only under exceptional and special circumstances.
  • Residential addresses should be that of either a parent or a legal guardian, and documentation to prove legal guardianship needs to be provided. The learner should permanently reside at that address.
  • Applicants who have been successfully tested will be informed after the entrance exam or an interview whether they have been successful in gaining admission to the school.
  • Kingdom reserves the right to verify by visitation or other means that the residential address given on the application form is that of the applicant’s parent(s)/guardian(s) and that the applicant resides at that address.
  • Students who have achieved externally recognized qualifications or representative honours in the expressive arts, sports or public speaking should provide evidence of such awards at their application and refer to it during their interview.

Priority, though, is given to:

Siblings of existing KBIPS children.
Children of employees working in the school.
The school will only make an offer of admission if it believes the learning and developmental needs of the student can be met.

Midstream Admission Requirements

Students seeking admission from other schools once an academic year has started, will gain admission based upon receipt of official records from the previous school, which confirms that they have been attending school and have no outstanding issues, either financially, or academically.  Students will still be required to undergo the KBIPS Admission procedures (please refer to information above.)  However, there would be no admission offer for students wishing to join Year 11 once the academic year has begun

Emergency contact information

The school must have the parent’s current address, e-mail, home, mobile and business telephone numbers. Emergency contact persons and their telephone numbers are needed in case a parent cannot be reached. This information is required at the time of registration and whenever a change occurs in the parents’ address, telephone number or emergency contact information. Such information is treated as confidential and is only released to relevant school staff. Telephone contact details, however, may be used on our telephone tree which is used to alert families of information or potential emergency situations during and out of school hours.

Medical information

Upon initial enrollment in KBIPS, Parents must complete the medical forms or provide us with the medical history of the child
