Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

Not a day goes by at the school without dozens of our children throwing themselves into a fantastic array of clubs and extracurricular activities.

Walk past a classroom on every Thursday of the week – and you might hear our choir rehearsing, or children enjoying sessions on African drums, recorder, or piano, drama section, dance lessons and debating.

Then there are all the clubs for creative activities such as drawing and knitting; academic subjects such as History, Science and Maths; skills such as puzzle-solving etc.; and meetings of school bodies such as the Charity Committee and School Council.

It all makes for an extraordinary range of opportunities for our pupils to discover and pursue their talents. And that in turn makes for happy, well-rounded children, who are all the more ready to work hard in their lessons. Many of the clubs also feed into the rich sporting and cultural life of the school, populating our calendar with all sorts of fixtures, competitions, performances and plays.

We also offer a stimulating and varied programme of day and residential trips to complement our classroom teaching
